New linkage findings in affective disorders.

Abstract

Identification of single-gene forms of manic-depressive illness, through linkage demonstrations in pedigrees, offers important opportunities for identification of pathophysiological mechanisms, and for genetic counseling in families with a valid marker of vulnerability.
