Abstract
BACKGROUND: The preoperative neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) and the platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio (PLR) are associated with poor prognosis of gastric cancer. We aimed to determine whether the combination of NLR and PLR (NLR-PLR) could better predict survival of patients after curative resection for stage I-II gastric cancer.Entities:

aThe median survival for most groups was not arrived because most patients were still alive at the last follow-up. Therefore, survival data are presented as mean with the 95% confidence interval (CI) in parentheses
bKaplan–Meier survival analysis
cBefore 2005, CRP was not tested regularly in our center. Therefore, CRP data are not available for 90 patients, and we lacked associated data for mGPS
