Abstract
Guinea pigs supplied with 5 mg/100 g vitamin in the food seem to be at the marginal substitution for a survival and show no ability to adapt the ascorbic acid metabolism to this low support. Guinea pigs longlastingly (6-8 weeks) supplied with 20 mg/100 g or 680 mg/100 g vitamin C in the food show the typical symptoms of an evolving adaptation by an overshooting in the course of the ascorbic acid levels in several organs after a switch to an extremely different vitamin C supply.Entities:
