Abstract
An electrohydraulic shock wave generator has been constructed to facilitate investigation of the acoustic field generated during extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy (ESWL). Pressure waveforms at the generator aperture and the beam focus, measured using a PVDF needle hydrophone, are compared with those from a commercial lithotripter, the Dornier HM3.Entities:
