Advancement of technology and its impact on urologists: release of the daVinci Xi, a new surgical robot.

Abstract

The technology for robotic surgery continues to evolve. Robotic surgery has allowed us the opportunity to critically analyze outcomes and improve surgical technique both open and robotic. The new da Vinci Xi may allow us to do even more complex surgeries with minimally invasive techniques, but the true advantages remain to be seen.
