Abstract
Maleimide derivitization of a protein is an essential tool for putting probes such as fluorescent labels at different sites within a polypeptide chain. This allows one to better understand protein-protein or protein-nucleic acid interactions using various biophysical approaches such as fluorescence anisotropy and fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET).Entities:
