SD: standard deviation.
IQR: interquartile range.
CRP: C-reactive protein.
ESR: erythrocyte sedimentation rate.
CNS: coagulase-negative Staphylococcus.
ESR as a continuous value and ESR as a dichotomous value are the same variable: only the clinically more useful dichotomous ESR with a cutoff of 60 mm/h was analyzed by logistic regression.
