Abstract
Failure after anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction is a potentially devastating event that affects a predominantly young and active population. This review article provides a comprehensive analysis of the potential causes of failure, including graft failure, loss of motion, extensor mechanism dysfunction, osteoarthritis, and infection. The etiology of graft failure is discussed in detail with a particular emphasis on failure after anatomic anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction.Entities:
