The source sample is the participants in the 2007–2008 ChiNDaMeD population-based screening study.
“Source” refers to the ChiNDaMed source sample.
“Study” refers to the 80.2% of participants in the present study who could be matched to a person in the ChiNDaMed dataset (the source sample).
p-values were calculated using Chi-squared tests that compared the study sample with all subjects in the source sample who could NOT be matched or were NOT included in the study sample.
“Study-diagnosed” means that the participant had not been diagnosed prior to, or did not recall having been diagnosed at the original ChiNDaMeD interview, but was diagnosed by a fasting plasma glucose test by the ChiNDaMeD study.
