Abstract
The bacterial pathogen Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae causes bacterial leaf blight, a serious disease of rice. The secreted exoglucanase CbsA is an important virulence factor of this pathogen. It belongs to the glycosyl hydrolase 6 family of proteins based on the carbohydrate-active enzyme (CAZY) classification. In this study, CbsA has been overexpressed, purified and crystallized. The crystal diffracted to a resolution of 1.86 Å and belonged to space group P2(1)2(1)2(1). It contained one monomer per asymmetric unit, with a solvent content of 45.8%.Entities:
