Abstract
A 71-year-old man who presented with iron deficiency anaemia and weight loss was found to have two colonic tumours: a mucoid adenocarcinoma at the splenic flexure and a papillary adenocarcinoma rich in Paneth cells in the ascending colon. The light and ultrastructural features of the neoplastic cells are described, and the significant of the presence of neoplastic Paneth cells is discussed.Entities:
