Use of established hepatoma cell lines in biotoxicology.

M Ferro1, A M Bassi, S Penco, G Nanni.

Abstract

CONCLUSIONS: In conclusion, hepatoma cell lines displaying multiple combinations of bioactivating and inactivating enzymes, even if do not seem to represent liver-specific bio-indicators of toxicity, are a polyvalent liver system, suitable to evaluate particular end-points.
