ACPA, anti-citrullinated protein/peptide antibody; CCP, cyclic citrullinated peptide; RA, rheumatoid arthritis; RF, rheumatoid factor.
Figure 1(A) Distribution of each anti-citrullinated protein/peptide antibody (ACPA) isotype and combinations in controls, first-degree relatives and patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA). The number of isolated IgA- and IgM-positive ACPA isotypes in relation to isolated IgG isotype was significantly higher in first-degree relatives than in patients with RA (p<0.0001 for each type). (B) Distribution of each rheumatoid factor isotype in controls, first-degree relatives and patients with RA. No ab, no antibody.
