Abstract
BACKGROUND: Human leukocyte antigen DP (HLA-DP) locus has been reported to be associated with hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection in populations of Japan and Thailand. We aimed to examine whether the association can be replicated in Han Chinese populations. METHODOLOGY/PRINCIPALEntities:

Healthy control group.
HBV clearance group.
HBV infection groups, including Asymptomatic HBV carriers, Chronic active hepatitis B group, HBV-related liver cirrhosis group, HBV-related heptocellular carcinoma group.
The P values, odds ratios (OR), and 95% confidence intervals (CI) were calculated on the basis of the binary logistic regression analysis, adjusted for sex and age.
