Regulation of RNA polymerase II elongation by c-Myc.

David H Price1.

Abstract

The genome-wide mapping presented in this issue by Rahl et al. (2010) demonstrates how the transcription factor c-Myc interfaces with the machinery that controls RNA polymerase II elongation. These findings account for the ability of c-Myc to activate the expression of a large number of genes that promote rapid proliferation. 2010 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.
