Abstract
Invasive fungal infections remain major causes for morbidity and mortality in severely ill or immunocompromised patients. The past decade saw major expansion in the antifungal armamentarium, and the precise role of newer antifungal agents continues to be defined through clinical trials. This article summarizes five of the most relevant clinical trials related to prevention and treatment of opportunistic fungal infections in adult patients published between 2008 and 2009.Entities:
