Abstract
BACKGROUND: The purpose of this study was to combine intraoperative gamma probe (GP) detection with preoperative fluorine 18-fluoro-2-deoxy-glucose positron emission tomography (18F FDG-PET) imaging in order to improve detection of tumor recurrence in colorectal cancer (CRC) patients.Entities:

Figure 2PET/CT fusion image on transaxial section demonstrates a hypermetabolic lesion (SUVmax : 8.2, Patient number 14) in the segment 6 of the liver (arrow) which could not be detected by GP. Final pathology was consistent with CRC metastasis.
