Abstract
We report a method that allows for a 2-9-fold increase in transfection efficiency compared to the standard cationic lipid-based protocol. The method involves a brief incubation of freshly trypsinized cells with transfection complexes, followed by incubation in cell growth medium containing serum and antibiotics. The method is simple, cost-effective, and can be applied to both DNA and siRNA transfections as well as to a variety of cell types including hard-to-transfect human placental fibroblasts.Entities:
