Abstract
Indolizine derivatives were tested as antimycobacterials against Mycobacterium tuberculosis H(37)Rv (ATCC 27294)in BACTEC 12B medium using the Microplate Alamar Blue Assay. The most active compounds examined carry an alpha-hydroxybenzyl substituent in the indolizine 1-position. MICs against Mycobacterium tuberculosis for these compounds were 6.25 microg/mLEntities:
