Abstract
Members of the homologous PRT family are catalytic and regulatory proteins involved in nucleotide synthesis and salvage. New crystal structures have revealed key elements of PRT protein function, as well as glimpses of how the fold has evolved to perform both catalytic and regulatory functions.Mesh:
