[Extracorporeal hemoperfusion in acute carbon tetrachloride intoxication].

A Schwarzbeck, W Kösters.

Abstract

A case of severe carbon tetrachloride intoxication and its successful treatment by extracorporeal hemoperfusion with activated charcoal is reported. The therapeutic effect of this treatment is confirmed by investigation of in vitro clearance studies. Results are discussed together with literature.
