Abstract
Porphyromonas gingivalis is one of the principal pathogens in the development of adult periodontitis. Several different animal models have been used to evaluate the complex interactions between P. gingivalis and the host and these have been an important research tool for studying the pathogenesis of P. gingivalis-mediated periodontal diseases.Entities:
