Abstract
A major objective now and in the future should be that of maximizing health and well-being during our essentially fixed span of life. It is proposed that this objective be delegated to a new field of medicine, perhaps to be known as clinical gerontology--a combination of preventive medicine and geriatrics.Mesh：
