Abstract
Discography is an invasive and controversial procedure that can be used as a complementary test to MR imaging or a CT myelogram prior to surgery. The examination may be performed in the prone or decubitus position. Pain provocation is the most important part of the examination. CT discography provides valuable information regarding pattern, number, extent, and degree of annular tears. Correlation of discography with cross-sectional imaging studies is reviewed and the surgical outcome is discussed.Entities:
