Ambulance ride: fixed or floating stretcher?

Abstract

The alternatives of a purpose-bult ambulance and a specially designed stretcher suspension system were considered and the features of the latter assessed by subjective and objective tests. The results showed a significant improvement in the quality of the ride offered to the patient.
