Abstract
Powerful new enzymatic and chemical methods for coupling unprotected peptide fragments are making the assembly of large synthetic proteins possible. By allowing the use of novel backbones and the incorporation of multiple unnatural amino acids at specific sites, these methods promise large expansion of the repertoire of protein molecules accessible to research.Mesh:
