Abstract
Pulmonary lobectomy in the presence of infected secretions requires isolation of the affected lung to prevent soiling of the healthy lung. In young children this is usually accomplished using a Fogarty embolectomy catheter. We report the successful combination of a Fogarty catheter, a tracheal tube and the prone position, which provided adequate ventilation and oxygenation as well as excellent surgical exposure.Entities:
