Abstract
Semliki Forest virus vectors encoding murine leukemia virus (MLV) envelope protein with a truncated cytoplasmic tail generate submicrometer, cell-associated, membranous particles that transmit replication-competent vector RNA specifically to cells bearing the MLV receptor. Such "minimal" viruses could have applications as retroviral vaccines or in the study of virus evolution.Entities:
