Abstract
Genetic alterations seen in established lung cancers are also often found in premalignant respiratory epithelium. The frequency, usual order, biologic consequences, and prognostic import of the alterations are only beginning to be studied. Increased knowledge regarding pulmonary premalignancy may provide earlier, more treatable endpoints for early detection and therapy.Entities:
