How to apply Larsen score in evaluating radiographs of rheumatoid arthritis in long-term studies.

A Larsen1.

Abstract

Radiographs of rheumatoid arthritis in longterm multicenter trials vary in quality and precision, making the uniform evaluation of soft tissue swelling, osteoporosis and the size of erosions difficult. A modification of Larsen Score is presented in which only major differences in osseous and joint space changes are determined.
