Possible route of antigen uptake by the Harderian gland of the domestic fowl.

Abstract

India ink and colloidal gold dropped on to the eyeball of chickens travelled up the secretory duct to reach the Harderian gland. 2. It is suggested that this is the route by which exogenous antigens reach the gland.
