Abstract
Infections associated with human cytomegalovirus are an important cause of morbidity and mortality in immunocompromised individuals. Recent studies in humans and animal models have shown that some human cytomegalovirus proteins can induce protective immunity. The availability of recombinant viral proteins means that candidate subunit vaccines can now be tested in clinical trials.Entities:
