Osteochondroma of the skull base: MRI and histological correlation.

K Sato1, T Kodera, R Kitai, T Kubota.

Abstract

A skull base osteochondroma (benign exostosis) in a 38-year-old man is reported. MRI was not only very useful for determining the extent of the tumour, but also showed its fat content and, on contrast-enhanced fat-suppressed images, its vascularity.
