Abstract
This paper discusses the concept of statistical power and its application to psychological research. Power, the probability that a significance test will produce a significant result when the null hypothesis is false, often is neglected with potentially serious consequences. The concept of power should be considered as part of planning and interpreting research. This article provides explication of the concept of power and suggestions for researchers to increase the power of their investigations.Mesh:
