Abstract
Total DNAs isolated from two Hansenula polymorpha (Pichia angusta) strains having chromosomal single or tandem multiple integrations of a pUC18-derived expression plasmid produced Escherichia coli transformants which contained plasmids of different size and/or organization than that of the expression plasmid. Evidence that plasmid-like structures are formed in H. polymorpha and that their formation is stimulated by DNA damage is presented in this study.Entities:
