Abstract
Rhabdomyolysis and acute renal failure can be a rare but serious complication resulting from compromising operative positions following some urologic and gynecologic procedures. We report a lethal case of rhabdomyolysis following radical perineal prostatectomy. The possibility of this complication must be considered prior to performing any operation in the exaggerated lithotomy position. Prevention, early diagnosis, and aggressive treatment are the keys to a successful recovery.Entities:
