Abstract
The development of aspergillosis in an immunodeficient host depends on interactions between fungal and host components. The recognition by Aspergillus fumigatus of fibrinogen and laminin, and the secretion of extracellular proteinases and ribonucleotoxin have been suggested to mediate adherence to mucosal surfaces and subsequently to bring about host-tissue invasion.Entities:
