Abstract
This is a report on the validity of treatment of coxa magna hips resulting from Legg-Calvé-Perthes-disease or hip dislocation by Chiari's pelvic osteotomy. Only severely deformed, incongruous and subluxated hips were treated by this operation. The aim of treatment is the development of congruency with a well covered femoral head to prevent an early occurence of osteoarthritis of the hip joint. Our results were compared with the results of nonoperative treatment of comparable patient groups.Entities:
