Abstract
Chiaris pelvic osteotomy with or without intertrochanteric osteotomy was performed in more than 100 cases during the past ten years. An evaluation of 97 operations showed good results in younger patients (age groups from 5-17 years). In adults with evident signs of arthrosis a higher rate of failures was obvious and therefore the indication for the pelvic osteotomy in this group of patients should be restricted.Entities:
