Abstract
Six infants with dysmorphic features of the fetal alcohol syndrome presented with symptoms of withdrawal from alcohol similar to those observed in adults and animals. Symptoms were characterized by irritability, tremors, spontaneous seizures, opisthotonos, and abdominal distention. A comparison of symptoms is made to animal and withdrawal from ethanol and to the neonatal narcotic withdrawal syndrome.Entities:
