Abstract
We describe the cases of 4 neonates with retained Plastibell rings and discuss the potential seriousness of this problem. Removal of the rings was accomplished by use of wire cutters. Local wound care resulted in perfect healing in 3 and slight scarring with ventral curvature in 1. None of these patients required skin grafting.Entities:
