Abstract
We report on a 52-year-old patient with acute myeloid leukemia. After induction chemotherapy, routine ultrasound displayed a round focal hyperechoic intrasplenic lesion. Tumor was primarily misdiagnosed for splenic hemangioma. Diagnosis of spontaneous progredient splenic rupture was made by color-coded Doppler sonography, sonographic follow-up examinations and confirmed by splenectomy for final treatment. No trauma was found.Entities:
