Abstract
Laryngeal liposarcomas are rare, with only 13 previously well-documented cases (to our knowledge). We report an additional case, which documents the use of computed tomography for treatment planning. Laryngeal liposarcomas appear to have a better prognosis than nonlaryngeal liposarcomas; therefore, a critical analysis of reported cases enabled us to identify clinical characteristics that contribute to the favorable prognosis. We also propose a rational therapeutic approach.Entities:
