Testing independence of fragment lengths within VNTR loci.

S Geisser1, W Johnson.

Abstract

Methods that were devised to test independence of the bivariate fragment lengths obtained from VNTR loci are applied to several population databases. It is shown that for many of the probes independence (Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium) cannot be sustained.
