Abstract
Plasma phenylalanine concentrations in fetal blood, obtained by cordocentesis, were compared with simultaneous peripheral venous plasma phenylalanine levels in mothers. The feto-maternal phenylalanine concentration ratio showed a gradual decrease from 19 weeks of gestation to term with an overall ratio of 1.35 +/- 0.42 (mean +/- S.D., n = 14).Entities:
