A simple method for the intracytoplasmic localization of biogenic monoamines in the anterior lobe of the pituitary gland.

F Harrisson.

Abstract

A method for the demonstration of biogenic amines is presented. It is based on the technique of Falck et al. and is a comparable method, using glutaraldehyde. This method has been applied to the light- and fluorescence-study of the cat pituitary gland, and allow confirmation of the presence of catecholamines in the cytoplasm of the PAS-positive cells.
