Evaluation of millipore HA and HC membrane filters for the enumeration of indicator bacteria.

S D Lin.

Abstract

Millipore type HA and HC membrane filters were compared for recoveries of total coliforms, fecal coliforms and fecal streptococci from natural waters and wastewater effluents. Bacterial and fecal coliform recovery was better on HC than on HA filters.
