[Hypoglossal nerve paralysis after intubation and direct laryngoscopy].

Abstract

We described an extremely uncommon case of hypoglossal nerve paralysis occurred after a direct laryngoscopy under general anesthesia with McIntosh's laryngoscope intubation. We reviewed the literature on similar cases and studied the etiology and pathogenesis of these paralyses.
