Abstract
Profound circulatory failure developed in a 45-year-old man after an acute myocardial infarction. A left ventricular assist device was used successfully to bridge the patient to transplantation despite recurrent and medically refractory ventricular arrhythmias that lasted from the second through the 12th day of circulatory support.Entities:
