Abstract
Sera of 240 randomly selected Prague inhabitants of both sexes from ages 6 to 65 yr were analyzed by instrumental neutron activation analysis (INAA) for Fe, Zn, Se, Rb, Cs, and Sc. Significant differences were found between serum Fe and Zn levels of men from Prague and from rural regions of Central Bohemia. Concentration of Se was one of the lowest in Europe and exhibited age-dependent, but not sex-dependent changes. Age-dependent changes of serum concentrations were also found for Rb, Cs, and Sc, whereas sex-dependent changes were detected for Zn, Rb, Cs, and Sc.Entities:
